  1. Wonderful captures Carol, and I love the editing.

  2. These should be called Pure Delight because they are. As Viv said love the processing. That sweet little hummer knows a good thing when he sees it. Beauty at it’s best.

I just love these little “guys,” and your photographs of him are wonderful!

  7. Beverly says:

Getting to see your “stillness” with this sweet hummingbird is a delight. We have one that visits, but he doesn’t land, so no opportunity for a photo. LOVE seeing him in your lilies!

  8. Melinda says:

You just have such a way with words and photos! Love your hummers! Beautifully shot and edited!

  9. Roxi says:

Love the rough texture. We’ve actually had a few hummers this week. Even fought one on the iPhone but he was flapping too fast. I was sitting among the flowers shooting and there he came! Breathe taking to be so close.

  10. Terri Porter says:

Such amazing captures, Carol! And I love your texture work. Turns these stunning shots into pure art. The one of him perched among the lilies . . . sigh!

  11. Dotti says:

What a great series, Carol! I love your little hummer. My first thought from the thumbnal was that you’d gone for a Japanese motif, so light, airy and delicate florals. We’ve had a hummer in our side yard but have yet to catch a photo.

  12. Wow…your work is incredibly well done. Your texture work makes it seem like they are printed on fabric. And just capturing those hummers! So lucky you are to have such skill.

  13. Such lovely images – I especially like this texture with them and the colors are so calming. I am always amazed at anyone who can capture a humming bird…

  14. Cheryl says:

Love the hummingbirds…so delicate but so dedicated…your words were a wonderful match for the visual of the bird in it’s natural environment…a lovely post Carol.

  15. Wow! Such wonderful shots of that hummingbird!

  16. June says:

You captured her personality so perfectly, Carol! I love when you said, “In the stillness you can feel your life open.” Yes, that.

  17. deborah says:

Carol, these are simply lovely! To capture a hummingbird like this would be so incredible to me … unfortunately, we haven’t seen any in our area. 🙁 Love your thoughts on ‘stillness’ … such a good reminder in days like these. Being still is very rewarding in so many ways!

  18. kelly says:
