The Secret of your Beauty

I was walking along a path, winding my way through the woods the other morning when I came upon an open field. As the sun touched the dew-covered grass, the whole field sparkled like diamonds. I took to my knees as if in prayer and bowed my head for a closer look. “What is the secret of your beauty” I whispered. The dew drops reminded me of tears though I could not separate the tears of sorrow from the tears of joy.

As we walk along our path, winding through our life journey, we shed tears of sorrow as well as tears of joy that gather in the open field of our heart and shine like diamonds. We cannot separate them, nor do we want to for the joy and the sorrow we experience in our life shape who we are. And that is the secret of your beauty…and mine.

  3. Now don’t tell me you wrote this? I will just crawl up right here, if you did you really need to write a book my friend. Seriously. I love what you wrote it is how I have felt so many times when I have been down on my belly photographing those same dew drops. Beautiful shots with beautiful bokeh to go along with the writing.
