Halloween Love

It all started when our son was little, a tradition of decorating for all the holidays…not just Christmas. Though our son is grown and on his own now, I still do this. On Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, even first day of school there are a few little things I put out. But big-time decorating for Fall & Winter holidays begin in October with Halloween. I love Halloween. Not the gruesome, scary variety. I’m talking Autumn leaves, black cats, Jack O’ Lanterns and friendly ghosts. Somehow, this silliness feeds the inner child in me with simple joy, which is all the reason I really need to do it!

Welcome to my home!

Trick or Treat!

What are the traditions that nurture your inner child?

Happy October everyone!

So inviting. My mom didn’t decorate as I was growing up-I do as an adult and I buy something(or 2or3) every year cause it’s just fun and festive.

  6. You know you really should post more on your blog because I always enjoy your posts when you do. I love really them as I think you are so good at writing. I can still picture you in PS sitting there on the sofa writing in your journal in the morning. That is how I remember you. Love all the decorations and hearing all about your life. Love the last image especially because you are in it and because I can see the plant next to the door. I love.
