Shared Garden

Oh my gosh! There are no words to adequately express the joy and gratitude I feel for having shared my garden with the public last Saturday. To see this sanctuary through the eyes of others was truly a profound experience. And, best of all, I had the honor of sharing the experience with my dear friend Jana, who helped me greet the near 70 guests who visited. She was not only a wonderful greeter, she came early in the day bearing gifts. She created the comment basket, cards, and booklet cover you see pictured above. So many lovely comments were written on those cards. I will cherish this keepsake always. Thank you Jana!

My first large art piece, ‘Emerge’, made its debut in the garden, and was enthusiastically received.

The star of the garden was this beautiful Ormea Lily. She had only opened two days before so was at her best and most fragrant for our garden guests. As she stood proudly for photos, Chickadees and Hummingbirds flitted about and a pair of small white butterflies danced above the broccoli flowers to music playing softly in the background. I kinda felt like I was in an animated Disney film! But seriously, it all felt pretty magical.

Jana also brought lunch (she thinks of everything!) A lovely Kale Farro salad – delish! And you can give it a try too because Jana has graciously permitted me to share the recipe with you. Click HERE to download the pdf or click the recipe on this site to find that and other recipes that you are welcome to download.

It was truly a beautiful day. Awesome really, and a wonderful reminder that when we open our hearts fully, love comes flooding in.

PS – A virtual tour of the garden will be posted soon!
