Don’t you just love this particular time of the year? The turning from one year to another? A time of reflection for sure. We look back on our year. As we think of the good times we’ve had, a smile spreads across the face. As we reflect on the challenges, we embrace the knowledge and strength we’ve gained as we moved through that process. It’s a time to feel gratitude for all of life’s gifts. We are here, now. We keep the best of the year that is passing, and turn to face what is to come with anticipation. What will we bring to the future that is upon us? The ATC card pictured here includes a picture of me. It was 1964. I was 10 years old. It was the 4th of July and our family was picnicking at Southgate Park in California. That year, that summer, I only wanted to do two things: swim every day (I lived in that bathing suit), and do cartwheels. It was a great summer and makes me realize the importance of being playful, joyful in our lives. And so, my one and only resolution for 2012 is to allow my joyful spirit to lead the way through all of my endeavors.
With all of the good times and through all of the challenges, I have to say it has been a great year. Brian & I turn our thoughts to blessings, as the year turns to new. How fortunate to say that we have more than a few. May the year ahead of you be filled with blessings and your joyful spirit leading the way. Happy New Year.
