And Then We Shopped!

This Friday finds me basking in the memories of the Gather California retreat. On our second day together we went to Seal Beach and explored the most beautiful flower shop, Petals and Pop. The owner, Theresa Anderson, was such a delight. She was sweet, kind, and energetic. She graciously allowed us to take photographs, and let me tell you, everywhere we turned there was a lovely vignette to behold. There were beautiful vases nestled into greens and seasonal fruit.

There were intriguing dried things like this item below. I’m thinking it is a coconut that’s been cut in half and allowed to dry. It makes a wonderful little bowl, don’t you think? I may have to buy a coconut and try this!

This grouping of little whisk brooms look like they are dancing.

Isn’t this the most beautiful watering can you’ve ever seen?

Now that I’ve seen this, I’m thinking pomegranates look better dried. I really need to do this too!

Many pairs of these Japanese scissors were sold that day. Such a perfect still life prop!

And of course there were flowers. So beautiful and fragrant.

I’m thinking we helped make her day fun & profitable!

If you are in the Seal Beach area, I hope you will take a moment to stop into Petals and Pop and say hi to Theresa. You will be glad you did.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I’m linking up with Friday Finds today. See you there.

I’ve been following the journey of all you lovely ladies on ‘Gather’ – it was really a fun time! I’d have bought those scissors too – can’t seem to find any here (UK) but must keep looking! Lovely photos!

This is just delightful to follow you gals into the Petals and Pop shop!! Places like this just take my breath away…and I swoon, and gather as many things to buy as I can. I’ve virtually shopped here with you today (a copper watering can, coconut bowl, scissors, and the pocket of berries). These images are just beautiful! Thank you Carol for sharing your shopping day with us!

  3. Loved this shop, and yes I know we all made her day as she did ours. You put it so nicely in images and welcoming we got from her and her husband. I love those little brooms and wish I had gotten one, oh well there is a next time right? That is what’s nice when you have a great time is hoping there will be a next time. Miss you my friend but there will be a next time. 🙂

Oh, Carol, thanks for the beautiful memory and the chance to relive our day in Seal Beach. I don’t think I’ve ever seen as much beauty in one little shop as I did at Petals & Pop. It’s a place you could spend hours in and still not see it all. Your photos, however, show many of my favorite things. I could have left there with much more than I did, but that will give me a reason to go back!

Sounds like this shop was a big hit both for purchasing and photography…Your images are awesome. It’s obvious the retreat was a big hit…
